I retired from Laurel Bay Schools in June 2016 with 27 years’ experience in the Department of Defense School System (DDESS). I holdsa Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education/Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Education from Cambridge College. My family and I have been in the Lowcountry since 1979, upon receiving orders from the Marine Corps minus three years spent in Okinawa, Japan. My family includes two children, four grandchildren, and one very spoiled Shih Tzu puppy. I enjoy reading, gardening, taking walks, volunteering, and the extra time spent with family and friends since retiring. I have extensive knowledge in teaching mathematics to young children and believe that children are innate mathematicians and problem solvers. I look forward to my new adventure at St. Peter’s Catholic School.
